Job Description

Formally trained or highly experienced. Supervises and coordinates activities of household employees. Receives guests and announces guests, answers telephone, sets the table, serves meals and drinks, and performs various personal services.

We are looking for a butler with keen organizational and communication skills to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with internal staff to meet the needs of the owners and their guests. The butler needs to be knowledgeable about the home and the services and serve as an attentive liaison between staff, residents and guests.

Summary of essential job functions.
Essential Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Responsibility

  • Provide excellent residents and guest services
  • Maintain cleanliness of all household spaces
  • Greet guests upon arrival
  • Ensure the consistent appearance of spaces across the home
  • Foster a welcoming environment for guests
  • Anticipate and meet a wide array of guest needs
  • Assist with planning and delivering additional services
  • Note special guest accommodations
  • Inspect home spaces before guest arrival/following the departure
  • Assist with replenishing inventory, including cleaning supplies and dishware
  • Some travel may be required

Minimum Requirements

Our ideal candidate will think out of the box, be proactive and take the initiative, have the ability to make quick decisions and work independently, and enjoy a challenge!

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Certification in Safety Management or Food Safety a plus
  • At least two years of experience in hospitality, customer service or related field
  • Must be able to maintain a positive attitude under stressful work conditions
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • 3 verifiable references
  • Ability to understand and keep confidential all matters pertaining to the household
  • Sign an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement)
