Job description

The Dennis Family Office is looking for an experienced Chief Operating Officer / COO to oversee multiple company interests from green energy, hydroponics, green business investment, technology and more. This is a multi-dimensional company with widespread interests and investment.

The COO role is a key member of the senior management team, reporting only to the Owner. You will maintain control of diverse business operations, so we are looking for an experienced and efficient leader. If you also have excellent people skills, business acumen and exemplary work ethics, we’d like to meet you.

The goal of the COO position is to secure the functionality of business to drive extensive and sustainable growth.

Summary of essential job functions
Essential Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Responsibility

  • Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures
  • Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth
  • Establish policies that promote company culture and vision
  • Oversee daily operations of the company and the work of executives (IT, Marketing, Sales, Finance etc.)
  • Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication
  • Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
  • Always seeking better ways to run the business, manage the people and the guest experience
  • Write and submit reports to the CEO in all matters of importance
  • Work closely with the owners and partner to ensure deliverables are consistently met
  • Manage relationships with partners/vendors

Minimum Requirements

Our ideal candidate will think out of the box, be proactive and take the initiative, have the ability to make quick decisions and work independently, and enjoy a challenge!

  • Proven experience as Chief Operating Officer
  • 15 plus years in Management with progressive responsibilities
  • Experience in the Technology and Finance industry a must
  • Demonstrated Competency in Operations Management
  • Understands the financial drivers of the business and manages to them
  • Proven ability to navigate competing priorities within the business and deliver exceptional business results
  • Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
  • Strong background and understanding of the green industry, (i.e. green energy, green building, organics, green technology)
  • Some familiarity with charitable organizations
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate with equal effectiveness across a broad demographic base of employees and customers
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and strategic planning experience
  • Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
  • BSc/BA in Business Administration or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus
