Job Description
The Dennis Family Office is looking for a Paralegal to assist our executive staff and lawyers in preparing and organizing various legal documents and researching various fields such as organic, green energy and other sustainable resource areas. Their main duties will involve heavy research and obtaining legal information regarding labor, energy and horticulture. It will also include areas that pertain to charities.
Summary of essential job functions.
Essential Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Responsibility
- Summarizing research and preparing reports for executives and attorneys
- Conducting research, investigating facts and developing legal arguments and precedents.
- Organizing and archiving the documents related to completed and ongoing research
- Keeping track of changes in legal framework and providing timely updates on these changes
Minimum Requirements
Our ideal candidate will think out of the box, be proactive and take the initiative, have the ability to make quick decisions and work independently, and enjoy a challenge!
- Certification or associate’s degree in paralegal studies (bachelor’s degree is preferred)
- A minimum experience of two years in a paralegal role
- Investigative mind and strong research skills
- Working knowledge legal database software
- Experience in preparing legal reports
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Ability to research and disseminate needed information the put it in a comprehensive and detailed report
